The German company Alfred Ritter stops production of its chocolate in Russia. Since 2008 all the chocolate is to be imported from German.
      
       The company Alfred Ritter, which produces chocolate under the brand Ritter Sport, is not going to prolong its contract with the Odintsovo Confectionery Plant. The German company is not going to sign a contract with other market parties and is to import all production from Germany, what is to cause the price raise by 5 %. The American company Wrigley, the new owner of the Odintsovo Plant is supposed to have insisted on the contract termination.
      
      Alfred Ritter signed the contract with the Odintsovo Plant in 2002 and started chocolate production in 2003. The Ritter Sport share in the Russian chocolate bar market reached 6.8% in the first half of 2006, and 6.7% in the first half of 2007. At the moment Alfred Ritter produces 12 types of chocolate in Russia, the company imports new types of Ritter Sport from Germany. Moving the production to Germany is not to tell on the sales, as the company keeps stable and fixed position on the market and has its own target buyers.
      
      The company Alfred Ritter was established in 1912 in Germany and it is owned by the Ritter family only.
