Russian Masterpieces are not Going to England

English art lovers will not have the chance to see painting masterpieces from the four major Russian museums, since the British party turned unable to guarantee the return of the exposition to Russia.

It was expected that the exhibition “From Russia: French and Russian Painting Masterpieces of 1870-1925” consisting of works from the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, the Hermitage, the Tretyakov Gallery, and the Russian Museum, was going from Germany to London, where it would open on January 26. Instead of it the exhibition will return from Dusseldorf straight back to Russia.

The destiny of the Russian exhibition in Great Britain was under consideration for a few last months.
