A monument to the prominent Moldovan prince, scholar, philosopher and man of letters Dmitri Kantemir (Dimitrie Cantemir) will be set up in Chisinau, the capital city of Moldova, while its replica will be installed in the Tsaritsyno museum-reserve in Moscow.
      
      This decision was announced at a recent Chisinau meeting under the chairmanship of Vladimir Voronin, President of Moldova. In the course of the meeting, where the celebrations in honour of Dmitry Kantemir were discussed, it was emphasized that the program to be worked out by the government, had to combine scientific and cultural parts.
      
      President of Moldova has already declared the beginning of the national competition for the best project of the monument.
