The Russian actress Tatyana Lyutayeva has been awarded with the prize of Cairo International Film Festival 2007 for her role in melodrama Polnoe Dykhanie (Full Scope) by Valeri Pendrakovsky.
55 countries of the world participated in the 31st festival in Egypt. For the first time in recent years Russia took part in the competition. Another Russian film, namely Blazhennaya (Blissful) by Sergei Strusovky, was included in the Festival of Festivals nomination.
According to the classification of the International Federation of Film Producers Association, the Cairo Film Festival ranks among the worlds top ten most prestigious cinema forums.
