About 430 Russian defence enterprises takes part in the Ninth Edition of the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA) 2007 Exhibition, which began in Malaysia's tourist island Tuesday.
According to the Rosoboronexport, Russia is to demonstrate more than 450 products of military and dual purpose.
A wide diversity of air equipment is to be the peculiarity of the Russian exhibits. Export-oriented technology is to feature aircraft of the Su family, including the Su-27SKM fighter plane, the Su-30MK and Su-35 multifunctional jetfighters, and the Su-32 fighter-bomber.
Russia also puts on view export-oriented versions of helicopters at the exhibition that ends this Saturday.
Mi-17V-5 is a transport version of the multipurpose combat helicopter. It is intended for cargo transportation inside the cabin and by the external sling. It can be also used for the transportation of 36 passengers. Mi-17V-5 is produced by the Kazan Helicopter Plants JSC.
Mi-17V-5 is a brand name of Russian helicopters. Malaysia is to name the tender winner by the end of 2008.
