New Literary Prize Named After Ilya Kormiltsev

A new literary prize recently established in Moscow commemorates the outstanding poet, translator and publisher Ilya Kormiltsev who died of cancer in February 2007.
      According to one of the initiators if this prize, the idea of cultural opposition will become the key concept of the award.
      Ilya Kormiltsev Prize will have eight nominations. Authors themselves along with curators of the project will have an opportunity to suggest the books for the award.
      The first prize will be presented on the birthday of Ilya Kormiltsev, September 26 in 2008.
