Boris Yeltsin Memorial Route to Open in Yekaterinburg

Soon tourist guides of Yekaterinburg will start touting travellers for a bus excursion to the memorial places linked with the name of Boris Yeltsin, the first president of Russia.

The tourist route was developed by the Centre of Boris Yeltsin and approved by the museum section of Tourism Coordination Council of the Yekaterinburg administration.

Tourists will be shown the old building of the regional committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in Truda Square, building of the Ural State Technical University – UPI where Yeltsin studied, Kominterna Street where the Centre of the Ural Political History is situated, etc.

By the way, some of the Centre staff worked in the regional committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union when Yeltsin was the ruler of the country, which means that tourists will have a chance to get information at first hand.
