Swiss company Nestle seems willing to crash all its Russian rivals on the chocolate market.
The company has acquired Ruzskaya Confectionary Factory, which produces chocolate candies under Komilfo (Comme il Faut) trade mark. The cost of the deal is not announced.
The turnover of the factory in 2006 amounted to $51 million. Besides, the company expects to increase its profits by 40%.
Today Nestle, the world leading food manufacturer, owns 13 Russian factories and employs 10 thousand people. The company opened its Russian representative office 13 years ago and maintains its top position on the markets of coffee, chocolate and infant’s food.
