Yukos went into liquidation

Today the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation has made an entry of liquidation of Yukos Oil Company to the Uniform State Register of Legal Entities. The bankruptcy manager of the company confirmed this fact.

The entry concerning Yukos liquidation was made pursuant to the legal decision of the arbitral court of Moscow, which completed bankruptcy proceedings against the company and bound the bankruptcy manager to liquidate Yukos.

Yukos Oil Company was admitted the leading oil company of Russia in respect of crude-oil production and market value. In August 2006 the company was declared bankrupt and the process of liquidation was instigated. 15 August 2007 the Russian Federal Property Fund completed sale of Yukos assets, which raised almost 873.1 billion rubles to wipe off all debts of the company.
