Personal exhibition of the legendary Russian cartoonist Boris Yefimov has opened in the Novy Manege (Moscow). The 107 year-old artists personally opened his exposition History Lessons in Cartoons yesterday.
The exposition has over 250 works by Boris Yefimov; it consists of several parts telling about the history of the USSR by means of cartoons. The earliest drawing dates back to 1922, whereas the last one to 1987.
Many of the cartoons are displayed for the first time. The works exhibited in Novy Manege are but a small part of the creation of Boris Yefimov, who, according to his family, has drawn more than 70 thousand cartoons.
The exhibition runs till November 25.
