A chain of Chinese restaurants in Moscow that served homeless dogs` meat to the customers as mutton has been closed, as the Economic Crime Department of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the capital reports.
Not long ago two men appealed to the Department saying that while leaving the Chinese restaurant after having a meal there, they noticed some of the staff workers enter the restaurant by the back door and carry sacks with “something moving and squeaking” inside.
The policemen kept the restaurant under observation and found out that homeless dogs were brought to the restaurant rather often. Then there followed a special operation: under the guise of customers the police workers ordered various dishes from the menu to pass the samples to a laboratory expertise.
The experts concluded that the meat that was served as mutton according to the menu in fact was dog meat, in most cases – meat of ill homeless dogs.
As soon as the police got the experts` conclusion, they came to the restaurant with a non-planned control check and found a real knackery: at the restaurant’s utility room they found dogs` heads and bodies while other dogs were locked in a cage for slaughter.
