On Friday, October 19, a Boeing-747 of British Airways flying from Hong-Kong to London was forced to make emergency landing at the airport of the Russian city Irkutsk due to one of the passengers had suffered a heart attack aboard and urgently needed medical help.
According to representatives of the Life Saving Service of the Irkutsk airport, the plane successfully landed at around 11.45 local time (06.45 Moscow time); all of the airport’s emergency and medical services were fully ready to meet the plane and the ill passenger who was directed to hospital straight after landing. Now the 77-year-old Philippine citizen is in a critical state and the doctors are trying to save his life.
On the whole there were 354 passengers and 18 crew members aboard Boeing-747.
