Russian and foreign, new and old cartoons will be screened in more than ten Moscow movie theatres in the framework of the international festival of animated cartoon films that will be held from the 1st to 11th November.
Big Animation Festival, as it has been called by the organizers, brings together works by modern Russian and foreign animators, retrospectives of celebrated film directors and studios, children’s cartoons, flesh-animated films, and archive and documentary programmes.
Educational programmes, such as professional workshops and meetings with artists and directors, will also make part of the festival.
The festival is arranged with the support of the ‘35mm’ movie theatre, the ‘Aktovy Zal’ Cultural Centre, Goethe Institute in Moscow, as well as embassies of Switzerland, the Netherlands, Estonia, Korea, and Canada in Moscow, and the Czech and French Cultural Centres.
