On September 4 the European aircraft manufacturer Airbus was proposed to order production of blanks for aircraft wings at a new plant in the Urals in Russia. The proposal was made by the governor of the Sverdlovsk Region of Russia Eduard Rossel to Airbus Vice President Sales in Eastern Europe and the C.I.S. Andreas Kramer who arrived to Yekaterinburg for a business-meeting.
“I have suggested that the company Airbus considers this proposal by December 19. The case is that in the nearest future in the Urals we are opening the first line of our new plant that will produce 25 thousand tons of aluminium blanks for Boeing wings manufacturing. The second line of the plant is to open next year – also for production of 25 thousand tons of aluminium. If Airbus gets interested, we can launch the third line of the plant”, Eduard Rossel said.
Andreas Kramer marked that the company Airbus was interested in a range of production manufactured in Russia but did not announced any certain plans concerning making any orders at plants of the Sverdlovsk Region of the RF.
