Chinese Circus Performers Robbed in Krasnoyarsk

Chinese circus performers, who came on a tour to Krasnoyarsk in the framework of the year of China in Russia, fear to go outside. During a performance that took place on the very first day of their stay in the city, someone stole almost all documents (passports, visas, and migration cards) from 13 performers. The only explanation given by the local police (militia) – it is the performers` fault that they did not ask for guard.
It is known that during the performance the stolen belongings were kept in a non-guarded room backstage. Until the passports have been found the performers, the performers are trying not to go outside in order to avoid being detained. The tour organizers only have copies of the performers` passports.
The situation looks more complicated taking into account the fact that in a day or two the Chinese performers are going to Europe. Now the guests are feeling trapped and have decided not to leave their belongings unguarded anymore. At the moment the local Chinese community is thinking over how to help the performers.
