Next year the Russian air companies will have to raise ticket prices, according to the head of the Federal Agency of Air Transport Eugeny Bachurin. This tendency is based on several reasons, and first of all, it is the traditional annual rise of prices on fuel. In the structure of the air companies expenses fuel takes 40%.
Secondly, it is a shortage of aircraft. While the demand on air transportation is increasing, the number of planes the airlines have is going down, which also may cause a rise of prices on air tickets, as Eugeny Bachurin explains.
