Yesterday Gus Hiddink team lost the game at Wembley stadium in London. It moves Russia into third place in qualifying Group E in Euro 2008 qualifiers.
Michael Owen stuck twice at the 7th and 31st minutes. At the end of the game Rio Ferdinand scored the third goal.
Gus Hiddink, the Russian team coach, was not very much surprised. He said Russia is not as experienced in difficult, high qualified games as the English team.
Still Russian football fans who came to Wembley (about 9 thousands against 81 thousands English supporters) and those millions who watched the game at home had the hope for victory as the English team missed dig names such as Beckham, Rooney, Lampard, Neville and before the match Russia was one point ahead of England.
The destiny of the Russian team will be determined at the Russia: England match on October, 17 in Moscow. In case Russian beat England it will get to the final part of the Euro 2008.
