Kizhi discloses the secrets of old handicraft

Living Exposition is on in the exhibition centre of the Kizhi reserve museum (Karelia).
       The Kizhi museum is known worldwide for its rare pieces of old wooden architecture, such as the famous Transfiguration Church.
       The concept of the exhibition is to demonstrate old Russian arts and crafts and recreate the living pictures of peasant life and images of by-gone times.
       The visitors of the exhibition have a unique chance to see alive the revived old techniques of embroidering, handweaving, spinning, birch bark platting, beading, and the like.
