Russian art exhibition in Washington

An exhibition of Russian art that opened in Washington on Wednesday presents the famous painting by Petrov-Vodkin The Bathing of a Red Steed and works by outstanding Soviet artists, among them Tair Salakhov, Alexander Deineka, Zinaida Serebryakova and others.
       The exhibition entitled In the Russian Tradition: A Historic Collection of 20th Century Russian Paintings is being held in the Dillon Ripley Center, a part of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington. The exhibition is provided by the Tretyakov Gallery.
       The Soviet art has always been perceived from the point of view of politics, but we aim to keep away from it says Maria Bulanova, the curator of the exhibition.
