Kharlamovsky Bridge near the Russian city Kirov has a wicked reputation amongst the locals: for nearly two years of its exploitation a number of serious accidents, including crashes with losses of life, have taken place here. The last crash on the bridge was registered on July 26, when two drivers died and three passengers were injured.
The regional State Traffic Safety Inspectorate asked one of the local Orthodox priests (Nicolas Fedko) for some religious help. As a result Nicolas Fedko sprinkled the bridge-killer with holy water and read a prayer for it. Despite the prist`s manipulations the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate calls local drivers to be careful and not to violate the traffic regulations.
