Boeing 787 Dreamliner is the first aircraft made of compound materials instead of metal, which lets the airliner save up to 20% of fuel in comparison with the analogous aircraft. 47 companies and airlines have ordered 677 planes of this type; amongst the Russian air carriers intending to buy the “American dream airliner” are S7 Group and Aeroflot.
      S7 Group will get the first Boeing planes only in 2014 and on the whole it is going to acquire 15 airliners the catalogue price of which is US$2.4 billion. Besides, S7 Group has also held negotiations over purchasing of 10 more planes. It is noteworthy that the company has ordered the smallest Boeing 787-8 able to carry 210-250 passengers.
      Another Russian airline, Aeroflot, intends to purchase 22 long-haul Boeing-787 Dreamliner in 2014-2016. The total catalogue price of the planes is US$3.3-4.1 billion.
