Perfume Museum opened yesterday on the territory of the perfumery Severnoe Siyanie in St.Petersburg.
The museum exposition presents unique samples of the perfume art of the late 19th - early 20th centuries, cosmetics of the revolutionary and war periods, and elite scents of Soviet fashionable ladies.
“The design of scent-bottles eloquently reflects the epoch, while the peculiarities of the fragrances emphasize the preferences of various years”, - the museum workers explain.
Visitors can smell and even try on the samples of many legendary scents displayed on the shelves in the museum room. The exposition also includes photos that have recorded the life of the Severnoe Siyanie perfumery since 1860 till present.
The museum is open from 9 am to 5 pm (to 6 pm on Fridays) every day except weekends, admission free.
