Moscow International Book Festival Opens Today

Today, on June 8, the Central House of Artist in Moscow starts the Second Moscow International Open Book Festival that will last till June 12.
      Just like last year, the festival will include five major programmes, such as book, children, music, exhibition, and cinema projects. In addition to that, the organizers have prepared a range of new programmes. In particular, a contest of poetic video clips will be held for the first time. The Haiku programme will also take place for the first time; a master in calligraphy has been invited from Japan specially for the event.
      Second-hand booksellers Embankment will be arranged in the framework of the festival.
      There will be also meetings with famous writers (Terry Pratchett, Thomas Meineke, Magnus Florin, Ulf Stark ), and concerts of interesting musicians (GAMINE (UK), SUSANNA and The MAGICAL ORCHESTRA (Norway), JEANNE BALIBAR feat. PONI HOAX (France), RODOLPHE BURGER feat. OLIVIER CADIOT (France), DJ SPOOKY (USA), ARNO (Belgium), Yevgeni Grishkovetz & Bigudi(Russia), Delfin (Russia), Ilya Lagutenko (Russia).
