Russian Musician Wins Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels

The Russian pianist Anna Vinnitskaya has won the final of the Queen Elizabeth International music competition among young performers held from May 7 to June 2 in Brussels.
      
      The performance of the 23 year-old Anna Vinnitskaya aroused storm of applause - a representative of the contests organizing committee mentioned.
      The second and the third prizes have been conferred on Plamena Mangova from Bulgaria and Francesco Piemontesi from Switzerland. The 22 year old Russian pianist Ilya Rashkovsky also was in the final contest and took the forth prize. The fifth and the sixth prizes were given to representatives of South Korea and Belgium.
      
      Altogether 75 young pianists (not older than 40, according to the contest requirements) from different countries took part in the music competition.
