Innovation For Soil Fertility Recovery

Russian scientists have developed a new agent for recovering soils, contaminated with petrol and oil refinery products.

Joint think-tank from Saint Petersburg and Serpukhov has developed a special agent for remediation of soils, polluted with oil and its products.

The agent is based upon the complex of specific microorganisms – oil destructors – with a biological substrate, which works as a carrier – various biological fertilizers can be used for this purpose, for instance.

Authors claim it’s the innovative combination of microorganisms and biological substrates, which can not only eliminate hazardous contaminants from soil, but also restore its fertility.
