Within a month Russian Railways and the government of St. Petersburg will coordinate the location of the terminal of the high-speed railway Moscow-St. Petersburg. This term was determined today at a meeting of the governor of St. Petersburg and the president of Russian Railways. The new railway line is expected to open in 2012 as it is needed make a detailed project, build the railway and buy a rolling-stock. The authorities underline the importance of creation of a high-speed line between the cities and are concerned with making the new railway start functioning as soon as possible. It is planned that the speed of trains of the new railway will be 250 kilometres per hour approximately.
