For the forthcoming leisure season the city Anapa has turned into a subtropical resort. The Mayor of Anapa says that “those who haven’t been to Anapa for two years will not recognize the new city”. According to his words, hundreds of palms have been planted in the city and exotic flowers have appeared in parks and squares. Besides, the city is decorated with an original illumination. Dry climate of steppes combines with sea air here, and earlier the city has never given an impression of a subtropical resort.
      45 kilometres of sand and 15 kilometres of pebbly beaches have been prepared for the tourist season. This year hotels and sanatoriums are ready to host 110 thousand tourists, including 30 thousand children.
