Russian Railways together with the Tver Carriage Construction Factory are developing a project of creation of compartments for 6 persons in Russian long-distance trains. The new type of carriages is expected to bring down the price of tickets for passengers. At the same time it is said that such carriages will meet all safety and sanitary norms, in particular, the ventilation system will be improved.
      According to representatives of Russian Railways, the number of seat carriages will gradually increase in long-distance trains. It is caused by the fact that the prices of travelling in open-plan carriages are too high for some classes of people.
