Moldova has got a permission to fully export its crop production to Russia, which is especially vital in spring, when Russian vegetables haven’t ripened yet. The relevant agreement was signed by the Moldavian Ministry of Agriculture and the Russian Federal Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision.
May 16, 2005, Russia banned export of Moldavian crop production due to the Moldavian party had failed to carry out Russian and international requirements when supplied crops to Russia. This fact meant that dangerous plant diseases or blasts could be brought to the country. Earlier Moldova supplied over 70% of all crop production to Russia.
