High-speed trams to appear in Moscow

Moscow authorities have decided to ease the situation of public transport in conditions of problematic traffic and are planning to launch a series of high-speed trams in the capital. It is also known that special lines are going to be built for the high-speed trams.
The new trams will produce less noise; their salons will be more comfortable and will also be quipped with conditioners. Transportation lines of the new trams will not intersect automobile roads.
There is nothing known about the fare of the new means of transport, but it is likely to be to some extent higher that the fare of usual trams and may reach the price of high-speed metro. Two first lines are planned to be built in Shertanovskaya Street and Enthusiastov Avenue. On the whole, there will be 6 lines of high-speed trams in Moscow.
