Voice of America stops broadcasting in Russia

As the Broadcasting Board of Governors of the US government reports, the main priorities of foreign broadcasting are to increase the volumes of tele-radio broadcasting in the countries of the Middle East, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somali, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and Cuba. “The supposed increase of the budget is directed to the network of broadcasting in the Middle East, while language services not linked with anti-terrorist war will encounter partial or full stop of broadcasting”, the report of the Broadcasting Board of Governors concludes.
The limits, in particular, are spreading over the Russian-language programmes of the Voice of America in Russia, Ukraine, and Georgia. Besides, broadcasting in the Georgian and Uzbek languages will fully stop, and broadcasting in Ukrainian - considerably cut.
