Upon a year’s work with western art Stella Art Gallery is now expanding its activities. New gallery space has opened in Mytnaya Street (Moscow) – it will be totally devoted to contemporary Russian art.
The most famous events preceding to this fact were the conclusion of a five year contract with Ilya and Emilia Kabakovs and the first in Russia museum project of Moscow conceptualism that took place in the Hermitage.
Such an ambitious start let the gallery put the highest standards in selecting artists. In its new space the gallery presents a wide range of contemporary trends in Russian art – from conceptualism and actionism to multimedia art, from works of famous authors to experiments of the youngest generation.
