Several Russian airports may lose international status

As a representative of the Ministry of internal affairs Vadim Savichev (the Head of the Department of the state protection of property) has reported to journalists, the low level of security in several Russian airports was revealed in the course of a last year’s investigation. “Together with the Ministry of transport of Russia we are now considering depriving several airports of international status”, Vadim Savichev says. However, he didn’t specify what airports he meant in particular.
According to Mr. Savichev, nowadays technologies are going through modernization all the time, but even some of the Moscow airports are not equipped up-to-date.
