Unique ethnic village to appear in the Kaluzhsky Region

A cultural-educational complex – ethnic village representing the way of life, customs and traditions of more than 80 countries of the world to be created in Russia in 10 years.
      83 hectares in the Kaluzhsky Region in Russia have been allotted for building a world village consisting of ethnic households aimed at conveying peculiarities and atmosphere of life of people all around the world. Russia is going to be represented by 12 national households.
      According to the organizers of the project, future guests will be able to get acquainted with ethnic culture, architecture, traditional lifestyle, history, folklore and mythology, national cuisine of different peoples. Besides, every pavilion of the area will have a mini-hotel, restaurant of ethnic cuisine, and library giving an opportunity of virtual travelling to the country represented by a household.
