In the course of the visit to the USA, the Minister of transport of Russia reports that the RF has considered the possibility of informational exchange, concerning airlines passengers, with the States. The initiative of mutual sharing information about air tickets booking and passengers was proposed by the American side. The mutual agreement between the US and Russia implies that the countries exchange information about passengers flying from the States to Russia and from Russia to the States.
      However, the current Russian laws do not allow bringing the US proposal to life. Due to this, the Russian government has made a conclusion to amend the Russian air code so that it becomes possible to share information about the Russian side’s airline passengers with foreign states. The terms of adding the needed drafts to the law will be coordinated with the State Duma in January, and the subsequent actions will depend on the legislative powers of Russia.
