One of the buildings of the Mouse Museum located in the town of Myshkin (the
Yaroslavl Region) burnt up on January 4.
The fire burnt a one-storey wooden building of the museum with the total area of 96 square metres. According to one of the Emergency situations ministry officers, the fire had run through the whole building by the moment a fire-fighting crew arrived.
The museum’s administration thinks that one of the possible fire reasons could be the stove which was usually fired in day-time when excursions were held in the museum.
As the main department of the Emergency situations ministry in the Yaroslavl Region reports, an investigation of the fire reasons is being conducted at the moment.
