Snowmobile safari in Karelia

This season Karelia is introducing 2 new snowmobile tours. The first route goes through forest roads, old villages and lakes, and the other one is an excursion to the only in Russia ethnographic museum of spiritual and material culture of a minor nation of veps.
      5 routes with length from 40 to 250 kilometres, including a 4 day route covering frozen lakes and taiga, villages and an 18 metres waterfall, will be available this winter in Karelia.
      According to representatives of the Karelian Informational tourist centre, the potential of snowmobile safari development is perspective, as the region is rich in cultural and historical monuments, archaeology, northern nature, and clean air.
