Memorial tablet to the great Russian film director Andrei Tarkovsky was opened yesterday in Puvis de Chavannes street, in the North-West of Paris.
“Russian cinematographer Andrei Tarkovsky (1932-1986) found his last shelter here” – reads the inscription on a small memorial tablet fixed on the wall of house 10, between the two windows of the flat where the film director lived the last months of his life.
Earlier a similar tablet had been installed in Moscow. On December 28, on the eve of the 20th anniversary of Tarkovski’s death, another memorial tablet will be fixed in Florence where an exhibition and concerts will be held in memory of the genius Russian film director.
