The famous Russian cinema and theatre actress Lyubov Polishchuk passed away at 6 a.m. today. For a long time she had suffered severe spine pain. The actress had undergone several operations and for some time had been bedridden.
Lyubov Grigoryevna Polishchuk was born in the Siberian city of Omsk in 1949. After school she decided to become an actress and moved to Moscow. She made her debut in cinema in 1976 in an episodic but brilliant role in the popular comedy film 12 stulyev / Twelve Chairs (1977) directed by Mark Zakharov. She also played in Zolotaya mina / Golden Mine (1977), 31 iyunya / 31st of June (1978), Priklyucheniya printsa Florizelya / The Adventures of Prince Florisel (1979), Interdevochka / Intergirl (1989). Her most famous roles are those in comedies Moya moryachka / My Seawoman (1990) and Babnik / Ladies Man (1990) by Anatoli Eiramdzhan, and Shirli-Myrli / What a Mess! (1995) by Vladimir Menshov.
