Three Volumes of the Thirty-Volume Edition by Alexandr Solzhenitsyn Published

The publishing house Vremya has released three volumes of the thirty-volume edition of selected works by Alexandr Solzhenitsyn. This will be the most complete edition and, which is most important, edited by the author himself. Specially for it Solzhenitsyn had edited and abridged his epic work The Red Wheel. The pressrun of the edition is 3000. However, the publishers are certain this is only a beginning.

Solzhenitsyn already held the freshly printed books in his hands, was deeply touched and said he liked everything about the edition.

In a month Alexandr Solzhenitsyn will turn 88. His previous 20-volume edition of selected works was prepared when still in emigration. It was published in the 1980s in Paris by a Russian immigrant publishing house, while in the homeland Solzhenitsyn’s works were prohibited.
