German agreement with Russia on the gas pipe-line building has been criticized by American officials, which appears a sign of growing complicacy in relationship between Moscow, Berlin and Washington.
Matthew Bryza, deputy of the USA State Secretary’s assistant in Europe and Eurasia affairs, noted in his interview with Financial Times Deutschland, the German version of Financial Times, that building of the 5 billion dollars pipe-line on the Baltic Sea’s bottom is likely to increase Europe’s dependence on Russian gas
