The Bolshoi Theater goes on tour to the USA and Mexico

The ballet company and the orchestra of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia will go on tour through cities of the USA and Mexico from October 6 till November 14. The Bolshi Theater will perform for the audience of Boston, Mexico, Minneapolis, Seattle, Berkley and Chicago. The repertoire includes classic ballets such as “Raymonda”, “Don Quixote” and “Gisele”.
       The new direction in repertoire policy of the Bolshoi Theater will be presented by the spectacle of the famous English stage director Declan Donnellan and choreographer Radu Poklitaru “Romeo and Juliet” that has become the most noted ballet staging of the season of 2003 – 2004.
       The tour has been arranged by ICM Artists, one of the most famous American agencies. It is the first large-scale project in the framework of the five year long contract on performing of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia in North America and Mexico. The cooperation of the Bolshoi Theater and ICM Artists will be continued with summer tour of the Bolshoi’s ballet in Metropolitan Opera, New York and California in 2005 and the first in recent 15 years tour of the opera of the Bolshoi theater in Metropopolitan Opera in 2006.
