The 9th International festival of independent cinema Chistye Grezy / Pure Dreams will be held in Saint Petersburg from 4 to 6 November.
      
      The festival of independent cinema Pure Dreams was initiated in 1998 by actor and film-director Aleksandr Bashirov. Bashirov is well-known to general public by his unforgettable roles in cult films, such as 'Assa' (1988) and 'Black Rose Is an Emblem of Sorrow, Red Rose Is an Emblem of Love' (1989) by Sergei Solovyov and 'The Needle' (1988) by Rashid Nugmanov. In addition to this, Bashirov is the founder of 'Deboshir Film' studio.
      
      The films for the festival have been selected in the course of the competition among full-length feature films by beginning film-directors. Anyone could apply for the participation in the festival.
      
      The festival will take place in LDM (47, Ulitsa Professora Popova, St. Petersburg)
