Astronomers don’t believe Nikolay Fedorovsky, who predicts a comet will soon collide with our planet, says the press secretary of Russian Academy’s of Sciences main astronomical observatory, located in Pulkovo (Saint Petersburg).
In October mass media have reported that Russian astronomer Nikolay Fedorovsky predicted a comet would collide with the Earth October 28.
Observatory’s official says there are special retrieval systems, which monitor possible hazardous objects – celestial objects with 100 m in diameter or more.
Astronomers expect a large asteroid to approach our planet in 2028.
