Young architects of St.- Petersburg will present projects of a new pedestrian bridge in the city center in the framework of the contest “Bridges of St.-Petersburg: a new look”. The contest is held by the British consulate general in St.-Petersburg. As the consul general George Edgar reported to journalists, the bridge is supposed to fit in one of the really existing spots of St.-Petersburg, though the contest being an art festival has nothing to do with real implementing of a town planning design. The winner of the contest will go for a fortnight traineeship in one of the architect studious of Great Britain.
The contest will take place in November in the context of the Days of modern architecture of Great Britain in St.-Petersburg. The contest is open to architects under 35 years of age.
