Experiments With Planarian Worms Continue On The ISS

More planarian worms arrived on the International space station within the set of biological experiments. Their heads and body ends were cut off, as in the previous group.

First set of the experiment has been successful – the worms have regenerated under zero gravity conditions after heads behind the eyes have been removed.

The worms are going to spend 10 days on the ISS. Another test animal group consists of grapevine snails. Previous experiments with 62 gastropods lasted for 116 days.
