The Artplay Design Centre invites you to take part in its creepy and puzzling carnival of images.
Hieronymus Bosch is one of the most mysterious artists in the history of world art. Little is known about
his life: he came from a creative family, married profitably, had no children, and was a member of a
religious organization. Having created about 30 paintings, he signed only seven of them. He did not give a name to any of the paintings: all of them were invented later by researchers of the artist's work.
Who was Bosch really? Some consider him the first surrealist, others claim that the secrets of alchemists and sorcerers are encrypted in the artist's works, and still others call the master a heretic.
One thing is for sure: all the superstitions and fears that tormented the medieval man were reflected in
Bosch's paintings. No wonder his "Garden of Earthly Delights" became a kind of symbol of that era.
The multimedia exhibition at the Artplay Design Center invites you to travel to the intimidating Bosch universe and meet its strange inhabitants. Thanks to the Cinema360 technology, every viewer finds
themselves inside the triptych "Garden of Earthly Delights".
