The Russian government will liquidate trade missions in Lithuania and Ukraine. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. After the closure, Russia will have trade missions in 58 countries. The Ministry of Industry and Trade made a proposal to close trade missions in September, TASS reports.
The decision on Ukraine is connected with the adoption of a resolution by Kiev terminating the intergovernmental agreement with the Russian Federation on the mutual establishment of trade missions. The Ministry of Industry and Trade also considered the work of the trade mission in Lithuania unpromising. According to the Federal Customs Service, the turnover of trade between Russia and Ukraine decreased by 41.5%, to $ 4.843 billion.
