The series "Bach in Leipzig: Paired Cantatas" is performed by organist Fyodor Stroganov and the early music ensemble Collegium Musicum conducted by Oleg Romanenko.
One can hardly call even one of Bach's works insignificant. Among these, cantatas make up a large part of the creative heritage of the genius. It is in these compositions based on the synthesis of music and lyrics, that many starting points are traced that are important for the entire creative path of Bach.
A large-scale spiritual and educational project, within which the Collegium Musicum early music ensemble will introduce all the Bach cantatas for the first time in Russia, will continue with a special program.
The concert is taking place at the Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral. Thanks to church acoustics, the classical music pieces will sound as authentic as possible.
