Large-scale vaccination can start from the end of November, Vasily Ignatiev, CEO of the company - the manufacturer of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus "R-Pharm" said.
“Currently, five production sites are involved in scaling up the production of the Sputnik V vaccine - a significant number, according to the general estimate. Large-scale vaccinations can start from the end of November and in December,” Mr. Ignatiev said at the Open Innovations forum (quoted by Interfax).
Two vaccines have been registered in Russia, one of which is Sputnik V of the Gamaleya Center. Another vaccine was developed by the Novosibirsk center "Vector". They both undergo additional tests. Yesterday, October 19, trials of the third coronavirus vaccine began in Russia. The authorities hope that preventive measures and mass vaccinations will help avoid a lockdown.
